Crewel:
We offer traditional kashmiri crewel fabric with hand-aari (hook) embroidery and this is available in cotton fabric which is made in kasmir called “dusoot”. Apart from cotton, we also offer them in cotton dak, linen, velvet, silk-organza etc., which is a latest demand of overseas market. We make use of single ply and double ply pure wool for embroidery and mostly floral designs in excellent color combination are done.
Papier Mache:
The designs and decorations of the Kashmiri Papier Mache, usually in the form of flowers and birds, have a strong Persian flavor. Among other rich designs are ‘Arabesque’, done in gold against a brown or red ground to show sprays of rose blossoms in fine lines and ‘Yarkand’, an elaborate design built up in spirals with gold rosettes radiating from various centers and white flowers laid over gold scroll work.
Pashmina Shawls:
Different types of Kashmeri Pashmina Shawls made from top quality raw material, Pure Pashmina is expensive but mixed Pashmina with wool is less expensive. Kashmeri pashmina silk shawls are world widely praised for their unmatched quality & various kinds of embroideries Art or hook embroidery. Pashmina accessories are available in a range of sizes, from “scarf” (12 x 60 ) to “wrap” or “stole” (28 x 80 ) to full sized shawl (36 x 80 ).
Carpets:
Carpet woven in Kashmir is a marvelous piece of art.Carpets are beautified by intricate patterns and marvelous designs. The most popular designs of these carpets are the tree of life. Designs are mainly floral or zoological though geometrical motifs are also found. The designs are named after Iranian city like Kashan, Kirman, Ardabil, Meshad, Qum, Faraghan, Hamadan and so on.Carpet weaving technique used in Kashmir is called Talim. It is infact a blueprint of carpet weaving. It is paper that is covered with interminable rows of twists, curves and hieroglyphs. After learning the design depicted on the Talim for months, the actual manufacturing starts.
